HOUSE ARREST: DIVERSIONARY TACTICS
Hopefully we’re all still safe and relatively sane. Here are some diversions to help get through the tedium. I was on Handcut Radio, the podcast hosted by the excellent Aleks Cvetkovic. We talked about writing, developing a personal sense of style and a lot of other things. We recorded it in a Florence apartment during Pitti back in January, which officially feels like it was a decade ago. But give it a listen and check out his other guests, there are some good ones.
I wrote a piece about my favorite last for my friends at Crockett & Jones. You probably don’t spend your time thinking about the shape of a shoe’s last. But you know I do! And Crockett has some of the most divine proportions anywhere. Their Pembroke (last 325, below) is just about perfect. But not forgetting their Chelsea Boot V (last 335). In a more timely matter I wrote about dressing for the new equation (working from home, or not working that much, as the case may be) we are all feeling over at Drake’s. My feeling is that it’s good to dress as if you've pulled yourself together. I can’t do anything unless I feel dressed and I could never write in bare feet.
