Oh, hello there. Thanks for coming to The Contender. I don’t really maintain this website any longer, it’s more of a bookmark on ye olde worldwide web. The main action is over on my newsletter, conveniently also called The Contender.

You can subscribe here to receive a story every week about good things like travel, style, fly fishing and design. I also record a podcast, Central Division with my dear friend Michael Williams (of ACL fame). Subscribers can access the complete archive of over 300 stories and 100 podcasts. They’re easy to search so you can find whatever you’re interested in whether it’s black tie rules, Paris travel guides or the best place to fish in Patagonia.

I’ve been writing the newsletter for over three years now and it’s been a great experience in a surprisingly civilized part of the internet. The newsletter is also the best place to learn the latest news about my projects, collaborations and books.
